The 26th Annual Arts Awards & Performance takes place this year on Wednesday, June 18th at Centre in the Square (), Kitchener. It’s a night you won’t want to miss!
Imagine an evening of fun and celebration – gourmet food tastings, great local performers, artwork silent auction . All happening on the night that Arts Awards winners in 11 categories Corporate Arts Supporter and Lifetime Achievement recipients are announced onstage. It’s your chance to be in the centre of an arts happening. If you haven’t attended before, you will want to experience it this year. We have a few surprises for you.
Craig Norris, host of CBC 89.1’s The Morning Edition (), returns as our Emcee for the evening.
This year’s gala celebration promises to be our most entertaining yet. Here’s this year’s lineup…
Onstage:
- Alysha Brilla () – Juno nominated musician and former Leading Edge Arts Award recipient
- Chico Dusty () – Winners of this year’s “Last Band Standing” competition co-sponsored by Maxwell’s Music House ()
- The Suns () – This year’s Blues Legacy Showcase winner and opening act at the Kitchener Blues Festival
- Janice Lee () – Spoken Word Artist
- The Water Boys () – An a cappella group from the University of Waterloo Men’s Choir
In the Lobby, when all the food, silent auction and meet and greet takes place, be entertained by these talented performers:
- Caffrey () – 2nd place finishers in this year’s “Last Band Standing” competition co-sponsored by Maxwell’s Music House ()
- The Eric Charles Band () – local singer/songwriter who recently released his debut solo album, “Another Trip”
